Moyes admitted after Wolves’ Everton Masterclass “better than I thought”

David Moyes admits Jack Grealish has exceeded his expectations after the winger stood out again in Everton’s 3-2 victory over Wolves at Molineux.
The Manchester City lease is at the heart of everything the Toffees faces, providing assists for Beto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, while also playing a key role in Iliman Ndiaye’s goal.
Grealish’s revival of Merseyside comes days after he was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s latest England team.
Four assists have been offered this season – his stats doubled in the past two Premier League games – the 28-year-old looks like a change.
Moyes soon attributed his revival to the player’s mindset. “It has nothing to do with me, let me tell you, it’s getting better with Jack and his own mindset.”
“I’m sure I think we all have a small thing. I think in life, you always have something that you have to work on.
“And I think Jack wants to prove that he is a good player. I think he is showing right now.
“I think some of his football is really good. The biggest compliment I probably gave him is that he is better than I thought. You know, he is really good.
“I think what Jack gives us is on the edge and hopefully it’s the edge of creativity, or even the scoring goal.”
