Golf Business News – Bigga and GroundSfest announce strategic industry partnership

BTME organizers and the UK and International Golf Green Administrators Association (BIGGA) of GroundSfest said they are proud to announce a new collaboration aimed at strengthening both activities while bringing together professionals from the fields of ground care, landscaping and golf.
The partnership will enable Bigga and GroundSfest to work closely together throughout the year, including attending and supporting each other’s events, hosting tailored educational content, and co-operating joint marketing activities.
At the heart of the collaboration is to encourage a shared desire to cross between the two event communities – helping professionals discover the value each show offers. This is an excellent opportunity for community building and cross-departmental participation. From green administrators and ground managers to gardeners and contractors, the partnership aims to unite a wider range of industries.
The complementarity of these two events makes them natural partners: BTME is a long-standing, beloved winter event held in January in the scenic surroundings of Harrogate, while GroundSfest provides a vibrant, hands-on summer experience where visitors can see live equipment demonstrations.
Bigga CEO Jim Croxton said: “We are very proud of our flagship events, BTME and the positive impact it has made, especially for the golf green preservation industry every year and at the best time of the year, at the best time of the year, to provide turf managers with a much-needed goal to promote our industry knowledge or members. At different times of the year and in different environments, we provide us with an excellent opportunity to interact with the many green administrators at Stoneleigh Park this September and work closely with GroundSfest to move our industry forward.”
Christopher Bassett, event director at Groundsfest, said of the collaboration: “Two performances complement each other – both in format and timing. BTME is a long and special event, while GroundSfest offers a vibrant summer event where people can do hands-on with the latest suite. We are excited to work with Bigga, we will be very useful, we will be very useful, we will be unfavorable, we can make our collaboration possible, we can make our collaboration capabilities important, we can be very focused, we can work well with it. Partnerships – action driven, focused on bringing real benefits to the sectors we serve.”
Beyond these two activities, Bigga and GroundSfest are exploring further educational opportunities. Bigga is widely recognized for its outstanding training and professional development programs, and with the latest launch of GroundsFest Academy, there is clear potential to jointly develop training content to support professionals across the industry – from golf green keeping to wider ground and landscape management.
As both events continue to grow, this partnership provides a more collaborative future tone for everyone working on ground care, landscaping and golf courses. More updates will be shared soon.
