Free agency begins five days after the World Series. As it has in recent seasons, FanGraphs is once again promoting a contract crowdsourcing project, with the idea being to use the wisdom of the crowd to better understand and predict the 2025-26 free agency market.
In recent years, we’ve added features to these ballots based on reader feedback. You now have the option to indicate that a player will only receive a minor league contract, or not receive a contract at all. If a player has a player option, team option, or opt-out in his contract, you will be able to indicate whether you think he will stay with his current team or become a free agent. Where noted, numbers will be prorated throughout the season. Unless otherwise noted, projected WAR data is from the first part of the 2026 Steamer600 projections.
Below are the ballots for this year’s 10 free agents — in this case, a group of relievers and starters that includes some of the top bullpen players on the market and two future Hall of Famers.
