Mikel Arteta draws Arsenal

Mikel Arteta had high hopes for 15-year-old Max Dowman, slashed Hale's midfielder and quickly broke into his first team and described him as “a big, big talent.”

Although Arsenal may end on 2024/25 without silverware, it's a great season for the club's academy. Two teenage sensation this semester were starring the Gunners, especially Myles Lewis-Skelly, who reappeared in September. He continued to shine when Arsenal started left-back, even getting a call from England in March.

Still the youngest debut in the Premier League, Ethan Nwaneri was also impressed when filling the injured Bukayo Saka in early 2025. Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly look ready to be the base of Gunners for the next decade, hoping to be on their foot pedals to follow another Hale Endlets in Hale Endlet.

Tauman has starred in the Under-18 Arsenal under-18 this season, scoring 13 goals in 14 Premier League matches and winning three goals in three FA Cup Cups. He has stylistic similarities with first-team captain Martin Odegaard, with some even labeling the 15-year-old as a potential successor to the UAE Nordic organizer.

Arteta certainly has high hopes. When asked if Doman could play a role in his team next season, the Arsenal boss replied: “In the near future, yes.

“Now he's involved in the team. He trains with us a lot. Does that mean he'll be playing in many Premier League games? I don't know; depending on how he's doing, how impressed he is, how impressed he is and how much he has provided for a team like Ethan [Nwaneri]like Myers [Lewis-Skelly]like any other player on the team. Let's see how this evolved, but we certainly have a huge talent there. ” he added.

Arteta has been criticized for not trusting Arsenal’s young stars in the past, but the Arsenal owner has shown this season with Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly that if he believes you are good enough, you are enough.

Dowman, a creative midfielder in north London, caused a lot of buzz. Back in March, Declan Rice called him “the best 15-year-old boy in the country”, apparently impressed the England International team during first-team training.

Dowman has been involved in Arteta's roster for most of the year and is part of the club's trip to Dubai for a warm weather training camp in February.
