Mets sign Joe La Sorsa contract with minors

1:12 pm: Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reported that the Mets have signed a minor league contract with La Sorsa. La Sorsa will provide a New York team with some left-handed bullpen depth that spins up and down with Triple-A throughout the season.

11:59 am:left handed Joe La Sorsa Reporter Charlie Goldsmith said choosing to be a free agent rather than taking direct missions from Reds Triple A members. Cincinnati designated La Sorsa for missions earlier this week, and after he cleared the save, La Sorsa was able to decide on the next step, as he had previously completed his career thoroughly in his career.

During his first two Major League Baseball seasons, La Sorsa released 4.47 ERAs in the 2023-24 Rays and Nationals with 50 1/3 innings and 41 games. During the offseason, the Nats were relaxed by Nats, who signed a minor contract with Cincinnati, which was chosen as an active squad in early June.

The Reds used La Sorsa only sporadically and often only allowed him to the Grand Slams, and in five appearances and 6 2/3 innings, the usage of up and down could have led to his ugly 10.80 ERA. In that small sample size, La Sorsa was marked as four home runs.

The opportunity to sign a major league job with another team (another) before the end of 2025 is over, but the deals that sign elsewhere in other minors trades may at least start left-handed in the offseason. La Sorsa has another minor league option year, and the club may be interested in the 134 1/3 career in the 2.88 ERA career. These excellent bottom line results have a 19.05% strikeout, and Lasosa’s walking rate has also risen sharply this season with Triple-A Louisville.
