Metropolitan Danny Young may need Tommy John surgery

Tommy John's surgery on the table for the metropolis Danny YoungManager Carlos Mendoza told reporters (including Tim Healy on News Day). The Mets placed the left-handed on the 15-day injury list this afternoon and sprained the elbow.
The team has not made the final decision yet, but Young has experienced a long absence. An elbow sprain involves at least some degree of ligament stretching or tearing. The damage is sufficient enough that surgical repair may be required, although it has reason to think that Young will make multiple opinions before making a large-scale decision. If he does walk under the knife, he will not only miss the rest of the season, but also most of next year.
During the 2023-24 offseason, Young signed a minor league contract with New York. They chose his contract at the time. He has been in his 40-man roster ever since. Throughout the 24 seasons, Young served as a new reliefist. He worked on the 4.54 ERA in a career-high 37 2/3 major league framework. That was Yang's last year. The Mets need to keep him in the major league this season. He pitched 10 times, allowed 5 runs (four gains), and struck out ratio 13:3. He collected four.
AJ Minter Young is the only left-handed in the Mendoza bullpen this season. They have not only been on the injured roster but are facing a potential season end in the past few days. Minter suffered severe LAT stress over the weekend and was weighing potential surgeries. They resigned Brooks Raleybut he recovered from the Tommy John program last May, which he has been in for several months. The only healthy left-handed pitcher in New York 40-man lineup is the starter David Peterson and Brandon Waddelltoday was called to work on the scene of the bulk arm behind the opening game.
Anthony Gose and génescabrera It's the only left-handed on the Triple-A roster. Both pitchers lacked bats with Scattershot orders, which coincided with their overall track record. Gose has achieved even greater success in preventing running, but neither is suitable for leverage. Even if Raley hopes to be a late-season enhancement, the left-handed relief figure is the target area for the Metropolitans in the coming weeks. A handful of rebuilding clubs – Rockies, White Sox and Marlins – don’t have much to offer in this regard, so important early meaning deals seem unlikely.
Whether he needs surgery or “only” to require extended closure, Young may be transferred to the 60-day injury list at some point. If he undergoes surgery, the Mets could have taken him out of the 40-man roster early in the offseason.
