Metropolis puts Tylor Megill on IL

4:25 pm: Manager Carlos Mendoza told MLB.com’s Anthony Dicomo that the best scene for Megill is the reward in four to five weeks. The club plans to have a live starter on Friday, and Montas may have joined the rotation after that, depending on his next recovery outing.
3:05 pm: Metropolis announces right-handed Tylor Megill He has been placed on the list of injuries for 15 days until June 15 due to a sprained right elbow. Correct Justin Garza It has been recalled with corresponding actions.
Megill told media members, including Laura Albanese, that he was only inflamed and had no ligament damage. This is by definition completely inconsistent with the formal announcement, as the sprain involves a degree of stretching or tearing. In any case, Megill doesn’t seem to expect a long absence. He said he would be closed for seven to ten days before reevaluation.
Assuming that ultimately is the case, that’s obviously good news as he’s having his best season here in 2025. This year, he started 14 games with a 3.95 ERA before taking office in this IL. His 10.8% walking rate will be higher than any other season in his career, but barely. Meanwhile, his strikeout rate of 29.2% is very strong, 24.3% higher than his career rate.
In the most recent offseason, he qualified for the first time and earned 1.975 mm this year. He will raise his salary in the upcoming winter, but apparently absent will cut his ability to make money, so he naturally hopes to rebound quickly.
For the Mets, this is the latest domino to quickly change the spin pictures. Last week, the Mets reportedly received the correct call Paul Blackburndue to a rather crowded starting combination. But within minutes of the release of the report, Kodai Senga Injured, he was later placed on an IL for 15 days due to tight hamstrings.
In modern games, any pitching surplus is a temporary thing, and this is clearly proven here. The Metropolis is now David Peterson,,,,, Clay Sherlock Holmes,,,,, Canned Griffin Blackburn as a rotation option. Frankie Montas He has been on the road to joining the group, but his rehabilitation mission has been shaking. Due to the pressure of LAT, he participated in IL throughout the year and had 13.17 ERA in five rehabilitations. In recent games, he allowed eight runs without leaving the second inning.
Due to these struggles, there are speculation that the Mets may push Montana into the bullpen, although the massive injury may make him more needed in the rotation. on the other hand, Sean Manaea He is also in the rehabilitation task and should join soon. His rehabilitation mission has not been very good so far, but he has been early in the process and has only appeared three times so far.
Time will prove how the Metropolitan plays. Peterson, Blackburn and Holmes are scheduled starters for the next three games. Megil was scheduled to win the ball on Friday. Canning might be able to start that, but they still need someone to play Saturday’s game. Guys like it Blade tidwell,,,,, Justin Hagenman and Brandon Waddell At least before the Mets bring some back from Illinois, it can be considered in a 40-man roster.
This will be a situation worth monitoring other clubs, especially if the transaction deadline is only over a month. Just a week ago, the Mets seemed to have enough starting options to sell in it, but maybe the purchase will be a consideration.
