Metropolis moves Sean Manaea to cowshed

Mets are moving toward left-handed Sean Manaea Satisfied to the bullpen according to reports from Will Sammon and Tim Britton of The Athletic. Manaea told reporters before today’s game against the Rangers that he will get the bullpen from the bullpen during the game if he doesn’t use him for tonight’s game Clay Sherlock Holmes For Tuesday’s series opener against Padres.

As Sammon and Britton pointed out Jonah Tong,,,,, Brandon Sproat,,,,, Nolan McLean. However, with days off tomorrow and next Monday, the Mets chose to return to five starters before the end of the regular season. Both McLean (1.42 ERA in five starts) and Sproat (2.25 ERA in two starts) are excellent, which makes it easy for them to spin both of them with Sherlock Holmes and Peterson. That leaves a spot in Manaea and Tong’s rotation, and New York will stick with the 22-year-old despite having six shots on Friday against the Rangers.

It is hard to see that besides reflecting Manaea’s poor performance this year. Left-handed was crucial to last year’s regular season and playoff success, but until the All-Star Game was a body with a slash fracture and a loose elbow. His return to the mound wasn’t entirely inspiring confidence as he scored 5.76 ERA in 50 innings in 10 games. While his 29.2% strikeout rate is impressive, especially on a 4.6% walk rate, this only leads to a great perimeter like his 3.03 Siera.

The actual results for Manaea are well below par, although most of this may be attributed to order and bad luck in hitting the ball, and another real problem with left-handers is keeping the ball in the park. He surrendered his career-high 9.4% barrel rate this year, which led to the ten home runs allowed this season. Perhaps playing a relief role in the final weeks of the regular season can help him get back on track. If the Mets manage to extend it into October despite their last eight games, Manaea is certainly crucial to keeping the pitcher floating, no matter what role he ends up playing.

Perhaps, if pitching in a short burst can help Manaea avoid long balls in the next few weeks, he will be able to help stabilize the bullpen that has been struggling recently. Ryan Helsley Never looked right since leaving the Cardinal Reed Garrett and Ryne Stanek Faltering, even Edwin Diaz Blowed a game and found myself in a loss last night’s game against Texas. Typical pitching characters often walk out the window in the playoffs, and if Manaea can get a big ball from the Mets in the October bullpen, they might be happy to accept the piece even if it means he doesn’t play in the rotation combination.

Another potential X factor in Metropolis is right-handed Kodai Sengahe used to pitch like a starter before spinning, but after the eighth string began this month, he was selected as Triple-A, and he threw 6.56 ERA. The starts came after a game on the injury list due to hamstring pressure, and Senga looked incredible on Friday night’s six innings work in Syracuse. Maybe if he continues to look good, he might hit the pincers in a major league rotation before the end of the year, if not Senga thinks if they can be part of the Mets’ playoff pitching program to some extent, if they do that there.
