Metropolis choose DOM HAMEL -MLB Trade Rumors

Metropolis announced today that they have chosen a right-handed contract Dom Hamel. Correct Austin Warren Triple-A Syracuse is selected as the corresponding active lineup move. 40-man lineup with correct vacancy Rico Garcia Yesterday was assigned as homework.

Hamel, 26, was called to the major league for the first time and will make his debut immediately after he competes. He was selected by the Mets in the third round of the 2021 draft. He worked as a starter and got some love from the prospect assessor when he climbed the minor league ladder. A short version of his scout report is that he has no exaggeration, but has a five-shot mix that allows him to beat the batsman from either side of the plate.

In his first few professional seasons, Baseball America named Hamel as one of the Mets’ top 11 or 12 prospects. From 2021 to 2023, he threw 246 innings to every level with an average running rate of 3.51, a strikeout rate of 30.4% and a 10% walking rate. However, he hit the wall last year, hitting the wall at 6.79 ERA in 27 double A matches. His strikeout rate dropped to 21.3%, while his walking rate rose to 13.2%. This brings him to 2025 from the top 30 in the BA.

He played a bigger role in Triple-A this year, starting eight of his 22 appearances. In his 53 1/3 innings, his ERA was 4.73, which is no better than last year. His strikeout rate of 25.8% and his walking rate of 6.6% are also encouraging. At the end of June, Fangraphs listed him as the 22nd-ranked prospect in the system, noting that he should be able to act as a decent volume reliefer.
