So I thought, let me call my coach. My coach was like, “Yo, call.” So I called and Mike picked it up and it was like, Oh, that was real. This is legal.
So after that, call my assistant coach. They were like, “Oh, pack a bag, get some sweat, pack all the hoop stuff.” So I was in a hurry. I went to talk to my academic advisor and then talked to my professor and said I wouldn’t go there to attend classes. That was when I was on the road.
I drove myself for two and a half hours. My nerves were a little rattling because I didn’t know what was going to happen. This is the last minute. So I went to the hotel. I didn’t really take a nap because my adrenaline was pumping for all the news. So next you know, I was on the bus with the players. Next, you know, the first game happened and the rest was history.
