Rory McIlroy’s Green Clothing Celebration Continues in Viral Video

For Rory McIlroy, the world’s No. 2 ranking, 2025 has been a whirlwind year. But his biggest moment of the season, perhaps his profession, was his Masters victory in April. With the end of the major season, McIlroy appears to have resumed his fifth major championship celebration in Saint-Tropez, France.

This is based on recent viral videos about McIlroy smiling, dancing and throwing away giant green jack elastics.

Last week, McIlroy participated in the Royal Royal Championships he grew up not far from Northern Ireland. It was a big moment for the star and his hometown fans. Given the pressure, he notoriously missed the layoffs when the Open visited Portrush for the last time in 2019.

Not this time. At the 2025 Open, McIlroy kept the crowd entertaining all week, ultimately providing Northern Ireland fans with a considerable T7-Finish.

But as he said that week, McIlroy and Portrush Faithful also viewed this year’s Open as a week-long celebration, with McIlroy’s masters winning the final stop of his career Grand Slam.

As it turns out, the celebration is not over. After his emotional opening week, McIlroy headed to Saint-Tropez, France for some R&R.

In a viral video posted by @ziregolf, a fan meets McIlroy dancing in a bar during a sunny holiday. He quickly typed the following message on his phone, flashing in McIlroy’s direction and shouting the same question: “Where is the green jacket?”

Once McIlroy, holding the drink in his hand, noticed the news, he pointed at the fans and smiled, then walked past him and said, “It’s on the yacht!”

Then, the golf legend dances while smiling and continuing to celebrate with his friends.

What happened to Rory McIlroy this season?

Given McIlroy’s great achievements in the Masters, it’s unlikely that his celebration will really end. But he still has a lot of golf games this season.

Although Scottie Scheffler’s open victory means Player of the Year honors are beyond McIlroy’s reach, he put together a season of historicity that can still be better.

After one game left in the FedEx Cup playoffs, McIlroy won two major PGA Tour titles in addition to winning the Masters, increasing his career total to 29. He will surely infuriate his season earnings in the playoffs.

However, the most important event in Rory’s schedule occurred in late September, when he and Europe competed in Team USA at the 2025 Ryder Cup in Beasterous Bethpage Black, New York.
