Kevin Barral Jack Winkler Will also be selected as the roster. The club is planning to designate an infielder Matt Mervis and Ronny Simón Make allocations. That will open two 40-person attractions for Hernandez and Winkler.

Mervis, 27, received from the Cubs in December, fish was given Vidal Bruján Go to Chicago. Mervis started a hot start, but with some red flags. By April 23, he had seven home runs but also beaten in 36.2% of his plate appearances. Since then, this feast or – rare method has been pushing the famine efforts toward the famine. He hasn’t hit a home run since then while still hitting 38.5% of the clip.

He created huge minor league production in 2022 and 2023, cutting .297/.388/.576, but last year’s strikeout became a big problem. He spent most of 2024 in Triple-A and was beaten out at 30% at that level.

There was obviously some pop music in the Bats, but the Marlins ran out of patience. Mervis really can only play first base, so he needs to hit to have any value.
