Manchester United are signing striker Benjamin Sesko

Manchester United is on the verge of making a major breakthrough in the transfer market, and the club is now signing senior talks at RB Leipzig’s Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko.

According to famous journalist David Ornstein, the 22-year-old attacker made it clear that although Newcastle United has been accepted by his current club, his preference is the migration of Old Trafford.

Newcastle’s bid was reportedly worth €82.5 million, with an additional €2.5 million potential add-ons reaching RB Leipzig’s valuation.

However, surprisingly, Sesko chose to wait for Man United and rejected the opportunity to join Hipies.

The decision has given United a key opening, and the club is now in discussions with Leipzig to build a deal that suits all parties.

So far, there is no official club-club agreement between Manchester United and RB Leipzig, but negotiations are making positive progress.

The Red Devils are confident that they will complete the transfer in the next few days. The deal could mark a pivotal moment in United’s summer business as manager Ruben Amorim continues to overhaul the team in preparation for the 2025/26 sports.

Premier League giants have secured offensive signatures for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer, and Sesko now appears to be joining Old Trafford this summer.

Despite his promise of Champions League football, his decision to reject Newcastle shows that despite not being the first in European football, the Red Devils can still attract the best young talent in football in the world.

Manchester United fans will hope the club will be able to close the formalities now and ensure signings for players who many believe can lead in the next few years.
