Manchester United and Chelsea are two very active clubs this summer, and they can both complete more businesses until the transfer window closes. It is possible that either side has taken action for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling.
Despite a gradual decline in interest in his service, Diblin is expected to leave Southampton this summer. Everton has been actively reaching a deal in recent weeks, although their efforts are futile – which could lead other clubs to consider taking action later in the transfer window.
Southampton’s asking price stance emerged after Everton’s snub
According to football insiders, Pete O’Rourke has suggested that Southampton could lower its asking price before the end of the summer, which could bring people like Manchester United and Chelsea back to the table.
“It’s amazing. When Dibling first broke into the Southampton team, there were a lot of connections with many big clubs. Chelsea, Manchester United and many top European teams were interested in the action of Taylor Dibrin, which was an infuriating £10m price. Obviously, it was already down by then, but I was surprised, I was surprised.
“It was Southampton’s valuation of him, which delayed the club. Everton made several rejected offers and they were reluctant to go to Southampton to ask for something to trick.
“In the past, there were so many big European clubs ready to move for him. Southampton blamed him for his actions, but if they lowered this price tag from now to the end of the window, it could give the table a new offer. He is a young player with great potential and I think he will only get better.”
Whether Dibring returns to the Premier League remains to be seen, but it almost certainly depends on Southampton – who is eager to make money right now.
