Wimbledon 2025: British junior Hannah Klugman, Mika Stojsavljevic and Mimi XIU set for the main draw debut

For the first time in Wimbledon’s history, there will be three British players who are 17 and under to play singles.

Mika Stojsavljevic, Hannah Klugman and Mimi Xu received the prize from Main-Draw Wildcard after proving their potential over the past few years.

Stojsavljevic, 16, made his most famous progress after winning the U.S. Open Women’s Championship last year.

Last month, Klugman, also 16, became the first British man to enter the French Open Women’s Finals in nearly 50 years.

The 17-year-old Xu is not in the world’s top 300 and has beaten two top 100 opponents on the grass this year.

Now that the trio has figured out their GCSE and A-level exams, the trio centers on their Wimbledon premium debut.

“We’ve long known this is a three-goal for the girls’ team,” LTA’s women’s tennis director Iain Bates told BBC Sport.

“These three are all on different paths at the top of the game. But their progress shows that they are a pack of players – and that’s the most positive signal right now.

“It’s a huge achievement to win and go further in the junior high school Grand Slam, but it’s even more important to have your friends and companions push you to the next stage.”
