Man Utd could trigger £45m ‘phenomenon’ striker clause in a few hours
United could trigger a £45 million issuance fee on Tuesday night’s “stunning” striker contract as the clause is completed within a few hours.
Man Utd follows gyokeres alternatives
With extensive reports suggesting that Viktor Gyokeres is moving to Arsenal, Man United is forced to continue to replace the alternative, recently approached contacts on Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig and Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea.
Despite a deal now with Gyokerers, Ruben Amorim has several options on the shortlist, many of whom are prolific before goals during the 2024-25 campaign.
Last week, it was also revealed that United had made an offer for Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, an impressive sport for Serie A’s former Everton man, but it didn’t seem high enough to attract Italian clubs to sell.
But if the Red Devils trigger his release clause, there is nothing Florence will do to prevent Keane from leaving, and the Italian report (via sports witness) reveals that they can do this before the expiration within the next 12 hours.

New Rashford: Man Utd has now agreed to sign “hard to compete” star
Manchester United hopes to have a series of summer signings in the coming weeks.
The report states:At this point, things are tightening. Kean has never accepted Qadsiah’s proposal, nor has he commented on Al-Hilal’s interests, who have contacted his entourage in recent days. Manchester United’s prospects should not be underestimated, as the Red Devils can take action for 2000-born players within the last few hours of the release clause. ”
The centre’s release clause is €52 million (£45 million), but it expires on Tuesday, meaning United are eager to reach a deal with the Fiorentina Stars and they will need to move quickly.
“Phenomenon” Kean may have another chance in England
The striker hasn’t been fully planned for his time at Everton, scoring only two goals in 29 Premier League games in the 2019-20 season, but his performance in Italy last season showed he should have another chance in England.
Italy International has brought 25 goals to Fiorentina in all competitions, and has also received high praise from Italian legend Christian Vieri, who said: “We do have Kean and Retegui. They are two very good forwards. If they play together, they are very dangerous. Kean is an amazing forward, an amazing forward.”
Perhaps the most memorable strike of the 25-year-old was his start goal in the 2-1 defeat of Genoa on February 2-1, beating the goalkeeper with outstanding efforts.
That said, given Keane’s last spell in the Premier League is below par, it would be a surprise if United triggered his release clause before it expires on Tuesday night.
