36 transactions were made in 18 hours. Deadline record. After 16 swaps the day before, the two days in astronomy totaled 52, which is also a record, more than the last two days of the last two days of the deadline last year.
Conceptually, the numbers are amazing. But when I sat here to write this mailbag after 7pm on Friday, we all started to sink the reality. I don’t know all of you, but after editing the Marathon of Trade Analysis for most of the last 48 hours, I’ve gone from being able to be described as a cocktail that can only be described as caffeine and adrenaline, I can feel like it’s a friendly cocktail that I can feel like coming. We both were absolutely riveted and totally exhausted, and the only thing that got me upright was the keen sense of expectation for all the great baseballs.
We won’t report any trade news in this week’s mailbag.
