Man Utd chases the ‘special’ £100 million striker

Manchester United’s summer transfer window has finally moved forward. Progress has been stagnant since then when Ineos signed Matheus Cunha early on from Wolverhampton Wanderers with Matheus Cunha.

However, Ruben Amorim has now taken a step to reshape his Red Devils as he agreed on right-side forward Bryan Mbeumo after a £71m deal with Brentford.

However, there is still something missing in the front of the ship. Indeed, Manchester United needs a reliable center forward.

Manchester United is looking for a forward

It’s been a frustrating summer so far. Rasmus Hojlund doesn’t have to leave Old Trafford, but Amorim is still looking for an upgrade, with Liam Delap and Viktor Gyokerers being designated elsewhere.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike has also been targeted, but the French striker rejected Manchester United and moved to Liverpool, which is being made.

So, according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United added Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson to the roster, with Blues signing Delap and Joao Pedro, which is sure to be the focus of Senegal internationals.

Nicholas Jackson

When AC Milan registered their interest in early July, Chelsea was priced at £24, but joint technical director Jason Wilcox will focus on a more pleasant number as he lined up for attackers.

Why Manchester United Want Nicholas Jackson

Chelsea signed Jackson from Villarreal two years ago for a reported £32m. He has since won the Conference League and Club World Cup, earning 42 goals in 81 games in all competitions.

He is not perfect. Stay away from it. Jackson is original, without a cool temperament in the last third. According to Sofascore, he missed 43 big chances in the Premier League and scored just 24 goals in his two tenures.

But there is a very good player there. Jackson, who was only 24 last month, is already moving towards one of the experienced strikers in the Premier League, began his Enzo Maresca era until the second half of the semester, when he started.

Reporter Rahman Osman has been praised for his “special” quality, and there are plenty to like, and Jackson may even shape Manchester United’s own version of the aforementioned Ekitike. His offensive output is dynamic, mobility and different.

Admittedly, Ekitike is the cleaner striker, his tools are more effective, but Jackson is cut out by a similar cloth and is almost just a static target. In this way, he has upgraded Hoylund, who is often struggling in the 2024/25 campaign.

With Mbeumo and Cunha adding new layers to Amorim’s frontline, it’s unthinkable that a dynamic forward like Jackson wouldn’t enjoy a lot of opportunities.

Hugo-Ekitike-Frankfurt

Don’t forget that Liverpool’s transfer target has not yet set foot in the UK and there is no guarantee that he will stick to his current figures, scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists last year.

Sure, Jackson will be a planned risk, but on both sides of the Premier League’s most extensive offensive talent, he may grow into his own skin.
