Golf Business News – Murrayshall Harves Back to Robot Lawnmower Investment

The Murrayshall, close to Perth, received a return on investment in Husqvarna robotic lawn mowers to support the green feeding team and further enhance the overall definition of its American park-style layout.

As part of a six-figure protocol with Murrayshall owners’ excellent asset management, state-of-the-art robots are programmed to cut rough, fairway and green around three times a week to provide more consistent cuts and produce stronger, healthier grass plants for year-round playability.

Additionally, using robots in the early morning and evening, the Green Raising Team can embark on crucial daily tasks and focus on delivering top-notch presentations in key areas of the Champions and Lynedoch Golf Course, as well as on 365 acres of stunning Perthshire Countrys.

“Golfists have been working hard to play on the best surfaces throughout the year, and our investment in Husqvarna robotic lawn mowers has been a game that changes the reality of the game,” said Gary Silcock, general manager of Murrayshall. He added: “Our very talented green goalkeeper team can now hone their skills in other important jobs around the estate to provide the best products for members and visitors.”

Darrin Urquhart, golf course manager who has worked at Murrayshall for the past 17 years and managing a team of five green administrators and a mechanic, has witnessed first-hand the positive differences in course presentations since Husqvarna Robotics was added to his machine.

“The laser separation and overall definition have had a significant impact on the introduction of the course, and the feedback we received from the golfers was very positive, which was great,” Darrin said. “The game-changing GPS navigation ensures that I can carefully draw different areas to cut from my smartphone app at certain times of the day, which is a big help from a productivity standpoint.”

The new machinery purchase has easy-to-change blades that enhance Murrayshall’s sustainability qualifications, as the long-lasting robot is designed to cut the top surfaces in time-testing time. Conventional lightweight mowing methods, lower emissions and minimal maintenance costs can help reduce the social and environmental impact of award-winning sites.

The investment is backed by Golf Finance, a professional asset financing solution company, which is committed to helping golf clubs deal with challenges related to large asset purchases such as green preservation machinery.

Silcock added: “When making this purchase with Golf Finance, we have been able to achieve a tournament-level setup in a financially sustainable way, while also allowing us to deliver a first-class experience and the best racing surface in Scotland.”

Commenting on the investment, Neil Henderson, Golf Finance Director, said: “It’s great to work with Murrayshall and Stellar Asset Management to help maintain their courses to the next level. The adoption of robotic lawn mowers ensures the conditions of the world’s population to ensure sustainability goals while supporting sustainability goals. Financing solutions can make infeasible investment capabilities that can make their equipment poor and keep their facilities well-scoped.
