Luka Doncic’s manager says All-Stars have moved on from the Mavericks

According to his manager Lara Beth Seager, Los Angeles Lakers Luka Doncic reportedly traded his decision to “keep ahead” from the Dallas Mavericks.

“He’s just looking for it. “He wants to attract the best players here. He wanted to win, and he knew it started with him.

“And I think that’s what he proved in the offseason.

Luka Doncic signs three-year contract with Lakers

Dallas sent Doncic to Los Angeles in February with a trade deal of three teams.

The Lakers won Doncic, Maxi Cleber and Mark Morris from the Mavericks, while Dallas acquired Anthony Davis, Max Christie and the Lakers’ first-round draft picks in 2029.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz won Jalen Hood-Schifino, the Los Angeles Clippers’ second round pick in 2025, and the Mavericks’ second round pick in 2025.

The Lakers secured the future with Doncic on Saturday, when the five-time All-Star Game signed a three-year, with a top $165 million contract extension that would allow him to keep him in Los Angeles in at least 2028.

According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the 26-year-old can withdraw from his three-year contract in 2028 and sign a new agreement with a 35% salary cap that is expected to be five years, $417 million.

In doing so, Doncic will recover all the money he lost when he was traded by the Mavericks, who is eligible to sign a $315 million Supermax extension this summer.

Mavericks fans protest against Doncici trade

It can be said that this is the most shocking trade in NBA history.

Don Cic did not ask for a trade, five-time all-NBA members are about to reach a season, leading the mediocre MAVS team for the first time since 2011.

Therefore, the strong opposition from the fans is strong. Mavericks reportedly offered some fan refunds to their season tickets after the deal. Since Dallas has 16 home games left for the regular season at the time of the report, the refund is worth about $2,000.

The news came, with hundreds of fans protesting outside the American Airlines Center. In the MAVS game, other viewers were deported for expressing disapproval of team management.

According to Rotogrinders, the Mavericks also dropped from 5.3 million to 4.6 million in the number of Instagram followers after the deal, while Doncic gained nearly 400,000 new followers in just a few hours.

While hard-working fans may never move on, Doncic manages to put the pieces back in place. The deal will be his inspirational fuel whenever he faces his former team.

In February, Doncic called Dallas a “special place” in his farewell social media post.
