Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz is linked to the migration away from the club in the summer transfer window, and Barcelona is interested in securing his signature.
According to the Spanish publication, Diaz dreams of joining Barcelona this summer, and he is willing to join the Spanish champions, even if they fail to register for him this summer.
Diaz puts forward a unique need
The report claims that if Barcelona fails to secure his registration by August 31, the Colombians demand substantial compensation. In this case, the Colombian will have to wait until January to play, and he hopes to get enough compensation. How the situation will develop remains to be seen. Liverpool attackers seem willing to wait for Barcelona if he promises a lot of money.
The report further claims that Barcelona has contracted with the players’ agents.
Will Liverpool let Louis Diaz go?
It would be interesting to see if Liverpool would approve his departure.
He was a major player for them last season. They rely too much on Mohamed Salah and Diaz in the last third of their goals. Liverpool have signed Florian Wirtz this summer, but they still need to go deeper in the offensive department. Selling a Columbia winger may not be a wise decision. Beyond that, Liverpool should focus on improving their team. They need a reliable striker who can consistently score goals.
Reports from the Spanish publication say Diaz was initially worth about €70 million, but things have changed since Diogo Jota’s tragic demise. Liverpool’s current attack lacks depth and they may not be willing to sell South America easily.
