Sir Keir Starmer is a lifelong Arsenal fan and has been a season ticket holder for Emirates Airlines for many years.
After becoming prime minister in July, Starmer has been watching Arsenal from the company box instead of his regular seats – an arrangement he was forced to defend the BBC.
“I have season tickets for many years. I’m a regular signboard, but now, for safety reasons, I can’t get into the stands, so the club has arranged for me to watch elsewhere. It’s simple.”

Lewis Hamilton has long claimed to be a fan of Arsenal, so its eyebrows in 2022 not only caught the attention when he revealed he joined a consortium led by Sir Martin Broughton, which attempted to buy rival Rivals Chelsea.
