BJK Cup: Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk help Ukraine beat Spain to the semifinals for the first time

Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk won Ukraine’s position in the Billy Gold Cup semifinal for the first time and won a victory in Spain.

World Number 13 Svitolina prevented Paula Badosa from winning the game 5-7 6-2 7-5 and leading Ukraine 2-0 in two-thirds tie.

Svitolina led 4-1 in the third set, while the former world ranked second.

Badosa broke with a 5-5 score in the decision suit and if she converted, she would leave her game for the game.

However, Svitolina rejected her and won the game in the next match to secure the victory.

Kostyuk earlier defeated Jessica Bouzas Maneiro of Shenzhen 6-2 with a 7-6 (7-3) 6-2 victory.
