Liverpool’s lead is “very good” with £85m

It’s the summer for the striker, and Premier League champion Liverpool is just one of many elite clubs that have priority in buying the new number nine.
Indeed, the appearance of Arsenal’s long waiting centre will end and add Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres, which Manchester United has also designated as someone like Ollie Watkins as they searched for their own upgrades.
Meanwhile, Chelsea has attracted club World Cup hero Joao Pedro to “replace” their previous summer signing for Liam Delap, and at Tottenham Hotspur, there may be a party for Thomas Frank and Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.
The carousel of the transfer deal was particularly fascinating this summer, which is more real than the Reds’ interest in Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike.
With Darwin Nunez almost certainly leaving – and Luis Diaz remains Bayern Munich’s target – Anfield certainly needs a new offensive figunhead, while Arne Slot and Co identify Ekitic as a replacement for their dream target Isak.
The French seem to be bidding, although the Mercedes may also focus on more exciting deals…
Liverpool’s ongoing transfer search
As it was obvious last semester, Slot’s team scored 17 rebounds in all games without an orthodox shooter leading the way, while Cody Gakpo scored 17 with his own 18 goals.
So far, 34 target superstars Mohamed Salah remained the main figure on the right, and so far the pace of the front has been smoother, creating enjoyment in the slot regime, and Liverpool’s club pursuit for Nunez’s club pursuit is unfortunately his club pursuit has been unfortunate.
The program could continue to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo, where the Brazilian could operate throughout the front line – has been designated as the summer target for those in Anfield.
According to Spanish reports, the Reds are actually leading the 24-year-old signature game, and the versatile winger is believed to have given him approval.
While both Bayern and Chelsea are in the frame, Liverpool is now ahead of the queue, with negotiations “already underway” and “stable progress”.
The former Santos star is said to have been told that he can leave Bernay New this summer. Then Madrid’s “trash” can prove to be Liverpool’s treasure.
Why Rodrygo is better than Ekitike
As mentioned earlier, Liverpool seems to need a new ninth place, and that man Nunez ended on 2024/25 with only seven goals in all matches – three fewer than men’s Manchester United fighter Rasmus Hojlund.
After Ekitike’s 22-year-old season in Germany, there is no doubt that TNT Sport Pundit Owen Hargreaves even showed that he was “the perfect center.”
That said, the sport represents the major outstanding performance of his career so far, and in fact, starting with 136 games, there were only 44 goals in senior games in total – not including his time on the B team at Stade Reims.
Rodrygo, by comparison, is one year older than the Frenchman, but gains more experience at the highest level, 68 in Madrid’s 270 games and provides 51 assists.
Although Brazil internationals usually line up on the right-wing berth, this comes despite looking more suitable for the opposite side or being center-facing. Indeed, former boss Carlo Ancelotti had previously suggested that he regard him as “a broader man.”

Although Ekitike strives to leave his mark on elite costumes like Paris Saint-Germain, and he scored only four goals in 33 games, Rodrygo has also impressed in the fierce competition in the Spanish capital region.
Especially in the Champions League phase, he has already scored 25 times from 65 games, and his level of completion has been described by journalist Sam Tighe as “very good”.
For comparison, Ekitike made only four appearances in Europe’s top game and failed to score.
It must be said that Ekitike is a real talent, but it certainly represents a bigger coup from Land Rodrygo, especially since this may prove to be a £85million fee of “humble”.
If Isak is no longer in the equation, then maybe both men are on the side of the slot before next season?
