Stephen Curry talks his legacy with LeBron James and Steve Nash

Curry achieves his impact through Trae Young
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry recently joined LeBron James and Steve Nash Attention game podcast. Three legends discuss the evolution of the modern NBA and Curry’s impact on it.
When James asked, “When did you realize, gosh, Steph, what you’re doing on the court is beyond a whole generation of players?” Curry pointed to the arrival of Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young.
“When Trae Young came into the league, they said he was the ‘next’ first guy for me,” Curry said. “He’s a different player though. I’ve known him since he was in high school… That was probably the first time I thought about it or really realized anything. [my] The impact is. “
LeBron: “It’s all Steph”
The discussion turned to Mark Jackson’s famous 2015 comment that Curry was “ruining the game” by encouraging players to shoot deep 3s without his accuracy.
LeBron added with a laugh, “What Mark doesn’t realize is he’s ruined the league, too. Everybody shoots threes now. Everybody. Sixty threes a game, fifty threes a game. It’s all Steph. It’s all Steph.”
Nash then emphasized how Curry’s jump in shooting volume changed the sport. “You take 200 3-pointers,” he said, referring to Curry’s jump from 646 attempts in 2014-15 to 886 in 2015-16. “Then there’s the league. [Damian Lillard] and clay [Thompson]. Now, it’s normal for three or four guys to hit hundreds of 3-pointers in a season. “

Curry Points Analysis and Trust
Curry credits former Warriors general manager Bob Myers for pushing him to take more three-pointers. “Bob Myers was the first guy to tell me, ‘You should take 15 three-pointers a game,'” Curry recalled. “I thought, ‘What? Do you know how hard it is to get 12 good looks?’ But he said, ‘Why not? The math says 15 wickets would be great for you.”

The podcast ends with the trio’s performance in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals. Curry looked at his highlights and said with a smile: “This is the happiest I’ve ever been watching this game.”
