Brentford is signing Caoimhin Kelleher and the Liverpool goalkeeper completed his medical expenses before moving to the GTECH Community Stadium.
The Bees and the Reds have reached a comprehensive agreement on the deal, which will allow the Irish Republic International to ultimately secure long-awaited moves in search of conventional frontline football.
Keller has long been regarded as one of the most talented goalkeepers in the Premier League.
He has been a research match for Alisson Becker at Liverpool, impressed in limited matches, especially in the domestic cup matches.
Keller is impressed by Liverpool
His outstanding performance in the EFL Cup, including his final shootout against Chelsea in 2022, cemented his reputation as a reliable and consolidation shooter.
Despite his obvious quality, Anfield has few opportunities and is far apart. Since its debut in 2019, Kelleher has firmly established the club’s No. 1, with Kelleher limited to 47 senior appearances in all competitions.
Romano confirmed updates about their X account transfers:
“Caoimhin Kelleher completed his medical test today at Brentford, after a £18m package deal that was consistent with Liverpool.”
Brentford, who has been making its way into the market amidst continued uncertainty for Mark Flekken’s future, identified Kelleher as the ideal solution.
The deal is believed to be worth about £18 million, which includes add-ons, making Keller one of the most expensive goalkeeper signings in Brentford’s history.
Brentford can provide more playing time for Liverpool stars

Brentford sees Kelleher as a long-term investment and is able to become their goalkeeper of choice in the coming years.
The move also provided Ireland International with the opportunity to build itself at the Premier League level and strengthened his case for the No. 1 jersey of the Republic of Ireland.
The official announcement is expected within the next 24-48 hours, with Kelleher going to work with Thomas Frank’s squad in pre-season preparations.
Federico Chiesa, along with Kelleher, can also leave the club this summer as Naples and Atletico Madrid show interest in signing him.
