Liverpool produces alternative plans in case they can’t sign Alexander Isak

Liverpool may be forced to divert attention in the transfer market, and Real Madrid’s Rodrygo is now gradually becoming a potential alternative to top target Alexander Isak.

According to Football Insider reporter Pete O’Rourke, Premier League champions are closely monitoring Rodrygo’s situation in Santiago Bernabeu in case their pursuit of Isak fails to come true before the transfer window closes.

This summer, the Reds signed offensive talent with Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike and carried out a summer reconstruction under manager Arne Slot. However, they are expected to take more action to strengthen the offense, but whether this will be in the form of Isak or Real Madrid’s Rodrygo remains to be seen.

Liverpool hopes Rodrygo as an alternative ISAK program

The Reds reportedly reportedly collapsed after being frankly rejected by Hippies after an ambitious bid for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. Newcastle maintains a firm stance that Sweden International is not for sale, especially without securing a replacement first.

With the clock ticking towards the September 1 deadline, Liverpool now has to weigh its contingency options, while Rodrygo is firmly in the conversation.

The Brazilian attackers have little time this summer under new manager Xabi Alonso. The Spanish Giants rarely use the Brazilian in the club World Cup this summer, which is not going well with the players.

Liverpool has been showing up in the market with a senior striker who can step into the starting role after Luis Diaz recently set off for Bayern Munich. Although Isak remains their top priority, Rodrygo has proposed an interesting choice in terms of the Champions League genealogy and La Liga experience.

At this stage, Liverpool did not make formal moves against Rodrygo, and Real Madrid has not yet shown a willingness to separate from the 24-year-old.

Several Premier League clubs have also expressed interest in Rodrigo, but Madrid’s position remains unchanged for the moment.

Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked to the multi-purpose attacker’s move, but so far both clubs have focused on other signings rather than La Liga stars.

It all depends on Liverpool chasing Isak this summer, and the 24-year-old may join the likes of Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Hugo Ekitike in the Anfield attack next season.

Rodrygo, who has won the Real Madrid twice, is used to making key games for the Spanish Giants, which is in the position. This is Anfield.
