Liverpool meets openly to sign Marc Guehi in January transfer window

Liverpool’s pursuit of Marc Guehi for Crystal Palace is far from over.
After a drastic collapse of the deadline, new revelations suggest that the celebrity is opening the doors, actively communicating with the 25-year-old and positioning himself as another move in January.
The Reds were active in the summer transfer window and broke the transfer record twice with their signing.
Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak are their big signings this summer, but there is another player who has a close relationship with moving to Anfield this summer.
Liverpool missed Marc Guehi’s signing
It was Guehi, the captain of Crystal Palace, who even had medical treatment before moving to Liverpool.
The Palace finally decided to cancel the deal because manager Oliver Glasner reportedly strongly opposed the idea of the team captain leaving the club.
However, according to football insiders, the Reds remained interested in Guehi’s move and had a conversation with him in the window in January.
Despite the setbacks, Liverpool remained the leader in Guehi’s signature.
According to transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke, the club is still in “open dialogue” with the defender, keen to restart negotiations in January, either to reduce fees or even to free agents in the summer.
Crystal Palace lowered their needs

Importantly, Palace has reportedly reduced their demand significantly, from £35 million in summer to £25 million in January, acknowledging financial reality and the risk of losing him for free within a year.
Liverpool may not have its own way. Competitive clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich are said to have entered the arena and promised to start negotiations from January.
