Liverpool is considering opening contract talks with Luis Diaz

Liverpool will continue to sort out the contract situation of some major players.

With the future of Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, they are seeking to ensure they stay at the heart of the roster and provide the right platform for manager Arne Slot to succeed at the club.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool will turn their attention to Luis Diaz and are expected to hold formal contract negotiations at the end of the season.

The Columbia winger has become an Anfield fan favorite, joining FC Porto in January 2022 and quickly gaining his mark.

Within months of his arrival, he played a crucial role in Liverpool’s domestic Cup doubles, winning the Calaba Cup and the FA Cup under former manager Jurgen Klopp.

This season, under head coach Arne Slot, Diaz once again showed his value and played a crucial role in the Liverpool championship campaign.

He scored 12 Premier League goals, his first double-digit run in the top run.

Diaz's current deal continues until 2027, but Liverpool is eager to resist growing interest abroad, especially from Saudi Arabia and La Liga clubs, by securing his long-term future and getting a new contract.

Discussions this summer are expected to clarify the intentions of both sides.

Although Diaz shows no sign of leaving, Liverpool will be eager to lock in one of their most valuable offensive players.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker described Luis Diaz as “a great player”.

Anfield is feeling more and more, and Trent Alexander-Arnold will join Real Madrid.

Liverpool have accepted the failure in this regard, and they are determined to ensure they agree to new deals from other major players.

The situation with the French defender is about to enter the final year of his contract.

In addition to keeping the best players, the Reds also considered the moves of Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.

As far as defensive goals are concerned, Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen is also on the club's radar.
