Liverpool failed and they signed Marc Guehi

Liverpool’s move failed and they signed Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 25-year-old is expected to join Liverpool this summer, but Crystal Palace is unable to sign a replacement, and they have cancelled the deal.

The two clubs had previously agreed to the player’s £35 million deal. The 25-year-old also received medical treatment at Liverpool like David Ornstein.

Interestingly, whether Liverpool decided to return to the defender when the transfer window opened in January. It’s no secret that they need another quality central defender, and Crystal Palace Stars may be the ideal acquisition. He is in the final year of his contract and his value may drop further in January.

The defender will be very disappointed with the situation and it remains to be seen whether he can seamlessly reintegrate into one side. Crystal Palace has denied his professional definition, which will surely leave a sour smell in the player’s mouth.

Liverpool has depth to January

As for Liverpool, they will need to rely on Joe Gomez and Giovanni Leoni until the January transfer window serves as a backup for Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. Interestingly, whether they can get to January without any major questions.

Guehi had previously said he did not want to sign a new contract with the club, and it would be unlikely that he would sign an extension with Crystal Palace after the deadline incident. The player is expected to leave the club now as a free agent in January or in the summer.
