Little Apes Par 3 Named Best 9-Hole Golf Course in Caribbean – Golf News

The “Little Apes” Par-3 course at Apes Hill in Barbados has been named the best 9-hole golf course in the Caribbean at the prestigious 2025 World Golf Awards, recognizing excellence in global golf tourism and course design.

Nestled in the heart of the stunning 475-acre estate of Apes Hill, Little Apes is a fun and scenic short course for the whole family, where golfers of all ages and abilities can share in the joy of the game. The par 27 walking course features nine holes ranging from 95 to 145 yards and is set amidst stunning views of Barbados and the Caribbean Sea.

Designed by the legendary Ron Kirby, these holes are inspired by famous golf holes from around the world and redesigned for family fun.

“From the beginning, Apes Hill’s vision has been to create an enjoyable and memorable golf experience where you can feel at home no matter your skill level, age or how long you have been playing,” said Jody Addison, Director of Golf at Apes Hill in Barbados.

“Ron Kirby redesigned our championship course to embody this philosophy and we are bringing that spirit to Little Ape Park, which we believe will deliver endless fun for young children and the whole family in equal measure. We are honored that this vision has been recognized on an international stage.”

Courses for everyone

Little Apes encourages sharing from the laughter on the fairway to the excitement of that first putt, creating an atmosphere that is as much about connection as it is about golf. The compact layout makes it ideal for families, teenagers, and experienced players looking to perfect their short game.

Golfers can enjoy an hour-long round without the need for a golf cart, and every hole is playable and enjoyable, allowing even beginners to step onto the course with confidence, armed only with a wedge and putter.

The Little Apes course combines with Apes Hill’s championship 18-hole layout and its famous “19th” Island Green Challenge, inspired by TPC Sawgrass’s iconic 17th hole, where world-class golf exists in harmony with nature.

The award highlights Barbados’ Ape Mountain’s growing reputation as a world-class golf and lifestyle destination where innovation, sustainability and community come together harmoniously, and builds on previous accolades at the World Golf Awards, including last year’s ‘World’s Best Eco-Friendly Golf Facility’ and ‘Best Golf Course in the Caribbean’.
