Lif Golf Chicago: How Neiman wins $18 million award

Joaquin Niemann has been a great performer for the 2025 season of Liv Golf, but one can get in the way of his $18 million individual title.
Jon Rahm still has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win the grand prize and won the Chilean award in 2024.
Neiman is currently ranked second with a 206.80 lead, thanks to the dominance, which includes five wins in 2025 – Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City, Virginia and the United Kingdom.
Despite having a 37-point mat, the two-time major champions were very popular when moving into the home.
There are only two individual events this season, and Niemann will stick out the Spanish neck.
This weekend, the duo will fight in Liv Chicago, where Rahm can add his 169.16 points and bring the fight to the Indianapolis individual season finale.
But if he wants to let Neman down for the second consecutive year, the event at Chatham Hill Club this weekend will require a 2024 championship.
How did Jon Rahm fight Joaquin Niemann for the final battle?
This is a simple equation for RAHM, but this does not make tall tasks short.
If Rahm wins in Chicago and Niemann finishes the game outside the top 18, Rahm will outperform him in the standings.
This will win the final showdown in Indianapolis’ final game of the season later in August.
On the other hand, if Neiman can only surpass 2.37 points this weekend, the Chilean will win the title, avenge his 2024 defeat against Ram, joining him with Talor Gooch and Dustin Johnson as Lef champions.
A Chicago win earned 40 valuable points, meaning that if Ram finds some major forms of winning, he can jump to 209.16.
And if Neman then struggles to get three points or less effort, Ram will head to the final game in the final game.
The high-risk arrangement is reminiscent of the end point of Liv Golf 2024 – only in the opposite case.
In 2024, Rahm broke into the championship with two wins and second place in the final three games of the season.
Although Niemann ended with two runner-up berths and a T15, he still had to finish second on the podium.
Now, if Ram wants to be the first back-to-back person in Liv’s young history, he will need heroic results.
Jon Rahm won in 2025
Rahm’s LIV golf in 2025 is very stable, but especially without any victory.
He led his team to four championships in Riyadh, Adelaide and England, and he helped the team ranking through landslides.
He personally posted nine top 10 in 11 matches, including second in Riyadh and Andalusia.
Still, the individual trophy is out of reach and he will need to return to the way to win the 2025 delay allegation.
Even in the main game, this is so close, but so far ended at the U.S. Open and the T7 at the PGA, while struggling with Prothush and Augusta National.
