Finland played Canada in the second match of the fourth day of the World Youth Summer Showcase. All the famous people we saw in the All Canada competition the day before were back like Matthew Schaefer, Gavin McKenna, Cayden Lindstrom and more. Carter George is on the Canadian online, while Kim Saarinen joins Finland. In the third phase, Jack Ivankovic took over the Canadian network, but Finland remained the same.

The game started smoother than the first game of the day and maintained a relatively normal free throw. There are some big hits, but the extra activity after the whistle is much lower than previous games. Canada first entered the scoreboard, but Finland responded with its own three answers. They added a fourth time in the third stage, which looked like the game at hand. Canada did find out that he had returned to the Internet, but could never do it again. Finland added another goal, followed by Canada, but Finland won 6-3.
Game review
As we saw yesterday, Canada’s game was very smooth, and it was also the first stage against Finland. Canada first targeted Porter Martone’s goal and entered the board with a 1-0 mark. The only assist went to Kashawn Aitcheson. Finland responded with Atte Joki’s goal in two minutes. Onni Kalto and Niklas Kykyri helped him tie things up with a 1-1 mark. Finland kept the momentum going, as they not only added one goal before the end of the period, but also two more goals.
The first of the two goals was Kalto, the second goal of the night. Finland’s first goalkeeper Joki received his only assist. The second goal was Aatos Koivu scored in a powerful game. He was assisted by Daniel Nieminen and Kasper Pikkarainen to bring him to the second stage.
The second stage is much quieter than the first stage, with only one goal and one penalty. Free throws are a five-minute professional, misconduct against Jorchi, who performed well before the free throw. Finland scored the only goal of this period, which was the second half of their five-minute kill. Kalto recorded a brief goal and was assisted by Benjamin Pietila to end the period with a 4-1 run.
Koivu added a second goal in the opening minutes of the third stage, extending the lead to 5-1. The only assist was Heikki Ruohonen. Canada added another goal from Michael Hage to a 5-2 mark. Cole Reschny and Sam Dickinson assisted him. However, that wasn’t enough, as Finland added another goal to make it 6-2. The goal was scored by Jasper Kuhta, who was assisted by Lasse Boelius and Matias Vanhanen. Canada scored another goal by Cole Beaudoin, 6-3. Reschny and Henry Mews assisted him. It turned out to be the final goal, with Finland winning 6-3.
The two teams will practice tomorrow, Thursday, July 31, but will return to the competition on Friday, August 1. Canada will be the first game against Sweden that day, followed by the United States against Finland.
