Ugo Humbert withdrew from the Rolex Paris Masters on Monday morning.

The French PIF ATP No. 1 player reached the final last year and his return to indoor courts is gathering pace. He reached the finals in Stockholm and the semi-finals in Basel, where he was forced to withdraw against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Humbert was due to face Espanyol again in their first game in Paris on Tuesday but pulled out due to injury.

Humbert was down on points heading into last year’s final, falling out of the top 30 of the PIF ATP Rankings for the first time since 2023.

Valentin Royer, who lost to Sebastian Korda in the final qualifying round, will replace Humbert in the main draw. He faces his first Lexus ATP head-to-head meeting with No. 15 seed Davidovich Fokina.

According to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, Humbert has a 25-20 tour-level record this year, highlighted by winning his seventh ATP Tour title in Marseille in February.
