Kyle Walker admits he will trade Premier League titles to lift silverware with Tottenham

Kyle Walker revealed that if that means he can cancel the Europa League with former Tottenham clubs, he will be willing to give up one of his Premier League titles at Manchester City.

The veteran right-back spent some time early in his career with the Spurs, during a period when teams were often ridiculed for not being able to win trophys.

Despite working in north London for eight years, Silver escaped him during his time.

Tottenham Hotspur recently ended their 17-year trophy drought by defeating Manchester United in Bilbao. At that moment, he saw Walker’s former teammate Heung Son improve the trophy, bringing the club a long-awaited success.

Walker, 35, admitted that seeing the Spurs’ victory stirred up a sense of jealousy, intense feeling that he was happy to give up one of his Premier League titles just to experience this glory with the club.

The England international said on his own Kyle Walker podcast: “I might give up a Premier League title instead of the first to win the Europa League with Tottenham.

“I know what that means. I might give a second one, it’s hard to give, but what it means in that moment. In that Spurs who won the trophy.”

Walker arrived at White Hart Lane in 2009 after he improved on the ranks of Sheffield United. He is a big part of the Mauricio Pochettino team, which features future England stars like Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Danny Rose.

The team was almost successful, ranking second in the Premier League in 2016-17, but never crossed the finish line in the end.

He is the first person in the core group to move forward, and he decided in 2017 to better serve his ambitions at Manchester City.

At Manchester City, Walker has accumulated enviable six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four Calaba Cups and a Champions League trophy instead of any of his old Spurs teammates.

By contrast, Kane had to wait until 2025 to claim his first major honor after moving to Bayern Munich, while his son simply lifted his first European title with the Spurs.

Despite his impressive resume, Walker now finds himself at a crossroads.

After the second half of last season’s loan at AC Milan, the Italian club chose not to undertake a permanent deal.

With just one year left to his contract, the right back is expected to return to Manchester City for the preseason, although Pep Guardiola’s side appears to be evolving.
