Kyle Edmund: Former UK No. 1 announced retirement from tennis, age 30

“My body told me it finally reached the end,” said former UK No. 1 Kyle Edmund, who announced his retirement from tennis.
Edmund reached the Australian Open semi-finals in 2018, with a whopping 14 in the world rankings.
The 30-year-old is the second British man behind Sir Andy Murray to arrive in Melbourne in the open era.
His later career was hampered by injuries, with Edmund undergoing three knee surgeries over the past five years.
“Looking back, I can say I did my best in my career and I also tried to get back to where I am,” Edmond said.
“Over the past five years, three surgeries and other injuries have caused losses, such as wrists, abdomen, hips and feet.
“No regrets.”
