Kings are interested in Scott Perry, Calvin Booth

Scott Perry, who served as vice president of Kings basketball business for three months in 2017, was then hired as general manager of the New York Knicks, is expected to receive strong considerations and be considered a front-runner, league sources said. Perry's 25-year front-end career also included time with the Detroit Pistons, Seattle Superman and Orlando Magic, having a strong working relationship with Ranadive during his tenure at Sacramento and working closely with then-general Vlade Divac.

Scott Perry received positive reviews (not from me) for signing George Hill and Zach Randolph, then worked with the Knicks, and then it was clear how terrible the moves were. The only thing that is more interesting is that they rehired him. – 3:11 AM

More information about the storyline

Former Denver Nuggets general manager Calvin Booth is also expected to consider it, league sources said. Booth was recently fired by the Nuggets along with coach Michael Malone, after having spoken with the Kings before hiring McNair in the summer of 2020. While Divac continues to meet McNair on the team, including with Ranadive, team sources say he won't return to the team's front desk with any formal ability. – New York Times/ April 17, 2025

If McNair and Sacramento split the way, it was mentioned that the Houston Rockets were a potential landing site. McNair worked for the Rockets from 2007-2020. Meanwhile, interim coach Doug Christie has gone 27-24 as a 27-24 since taking over Brown. Christie is said to be loved by Kings Governor Vivek Ranadive and supported by former Kings teammate and executive Vlade Divac. Nuggets interim coach David Adelman has since led Denver to finish the season with a 3-0 record, earning the fourth seed in the West and having a real chance to continue working, league sources told HoopShype. Although Daryl Morey publicly stated that both his and Nick Hurse coaches will return to Philadelphia next season, the nurses’ assistant coaching staff is expected to see changes this offseason, league sources told Hoopshype. -Via HoopShype / April 16, 2025

Sam Amick: I-you know, inside that- I'll notice that everything old may be new again. You know, Vlade Divac has been on a lot lately, and it's another topic in the league world. “Host (insert): “Wait, Wait-what? hold on. Wait, what? I mean, we've seen him, but what's the point of speaking? Jason? Or Jason, I look at Jason – what is the point of speaking, Sam? Sam Amick: “That’s what I mean, we talked about Vivek, a lot of his stuff is very transparent. You have power seats in the game and figure out who he is hanging out with and who he is listening to. One night, it was Alvin Gentry, the other was Anjali, and the next was Vlade. I mean, I can only tell you that as Wes set out to move forward – you know some of the conspiracies that happened in the team, and communication has to be done – because one seems to forget that Vlad still has a formal title with the team. I always forget what it is, like “franchise head” or something. -VIA YouTube / March 29, 2025
