Kevin Durant Trade Rumor: The Camel, Rockets, Spurs on Wishlist – Basketball Insider

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant has a wish roster for the Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs.
As the Suns classify by selecting the best available deals, Durant can sign an expansion with these three teams.
The other teams are reportedly the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Clippers.
It is also reported that Durant wants to place the New York Knicks as his preferred destination. However, the Knicks seemed uninterested in the acquisition and probably did not have the draft capital needed to create an attractive offer.
As mentioned earlier, the Suns hope to trade Durant by draft day on June 25.
Durant is the 15th All-Star Game, two finals MVP and four scoring champion. This season, he averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. He shot 57.4% from two points, 43% from three-pointers and 83.9% from free throws.
He has one year left on his contract, worth $54.7 million.
Our Know About Rockets, Spurs, and Camel Durant
Houston Rockets
The Rockets have always insisted that they are already in a strong long-term position and there is no pressure to change this change. On the roster of major players around 25, Durant’s entry into the 37-year-old season is not ideal for health.
Phoenix would be happy to deal with Houston because the Rockets have the Suns draft pick they want to recover. The Rockets won the 10th pick from the Suns in the upcoming draft. Houston also owns Phoenix’s first-round draft picks in 2027 and 2029.
The Suns are also eager to be small forward Jabari Smith Jr.
San Antonio Spurs
Durant is very interested in pairing with Victor Wembanyama. League insider Jake Fischer reported that the Spurs only brought Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson and Harrison Barnes from the roster.
The level of compensation drafts to be attached is not clear, but Phoenix is not interested in these players. From now until 2032, San Antonio has 13 first-round picks. It is believed that the second pick in this year’s draft is completely out of the table in the Durant negotiations. Stephon Castle’s Rookie of the Year is also out of range.
Considering that Durant’s deal is only one year long, this could be a bad stance. Vassell is becoming one of the best young wing players in the league, and Johnson is likely to be a solid bench in the coming years.
If the offer is near Vassell, Johnson, Barnes and 14th pick in the upcoming draft, it is at least worth bookmarking later.
Miami Hot
Durant used to want to heat up while the Brooklyn Nets, so it’s no surprise to see them on the list now.
Miami’s proposal is believed to start with Andrew Wiggins and Duncan Robinson, plus first-round picks. The Heat can finish the 20th overall pick in this year’s draft with the first round draft in 2030 and 2032.
The Suns said they wanted to upgrade to the center, so a deal here would come down to whether Phoenix could still get promising young big shots Kel’el Ware.
When Jimmy Butler’s trade negotiations were in progress, it was considered a too high bar, but the heat wasn’t available to the housekeeper again.
Our Know About the Durant Quotes of Wolf
Minnesota and Phoenix are both second aprons until at least June 30. This means that any deal involving both teams may have to wait until July 6.
If both Naz Reid and Julius Randle reject the player choice for next season, the Wolves can only fall under the second apron.
As mentioned earlier, the Sun also longs for a center, so it is likely to expect Rudy Gobert to reach a Durant deal. But, as far as one center goes, is this staying in Minnesota? Wolves are also reportedly unwilling to be separated from Jaden McDaniels.
As far as the capital draft is concerned, Wolves only won the 17th pick in this year’s draft.
Due to all unknowns, it is difficult to understand the possible frameworks here.
What we know about the Raptors, the Clippers provide Durant with
Brian Windhorst said the Clippers are a potential suitor to Kevin Durant:
“You don’t see Toronto on Durant’s roster, but the Raptors are one of the teams lurking there… I think there are a few others, including the Los Angeles Clippers… It’s still open. Maybe… Maybe… pic.twitter.com/0bc8vg3fwh

According to the report, Toronto may have a willingness to compete with another year’s rental superstar. Not long ago, the Raptors and Kawhi Leonard walked this path. They saw him leave a year later, but not without winning the championship.
Toronto just acquired Brandon Ingram, so envisioned the fit between him, Scottie Barnes and Durant. Jakob Poeltl will surely be the center of the sun’s coveted. How Phoenix views RJ Barrett is crucial to the possible deals here.
The Raptors are the ninth pick in this year’s draft and offer future picks to trade as well.
Although ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported interest from the Clippers, it is not clear what the trade framework looks like. They don’t have many draft picks with trades, nor do they have attractive young players.
