Kevin de Bruyne

Kevin de Bruyne had another side effect in the Manchester City hierarchy after a game-winning show against Wolverhampton Rangers, which made him think he wasn't worth a new contract.

DeBruen publicly confirmed that this will be his last season in the city in early April. Since then, the increasingly vulnerable 33-year-old revealed that he wanted to stay in Etihad and decided to part ways with Guardiola manager and athletic director Txiki Begiristain.

Since the announcement of De Bruyne's departure, he has scored two goals and created another in five games, including the only strike that defeated Wolves 1-0 on Friday night. “I showed that I can still play here [in the Premier League] Otherwise, I wouldn't have done what I did in the last four to five weeks.

“Obviously I know I've left a game here [at the Etihad] But I just tried to do my job like I've been doing, and today I did it so I'm proud of my job. I give everything, I want to win the game. ”

There is no shortage of interest in the upcoming free agent. The MLS franchise Chicago Fire has been called a favorite to snap up his favourite, but De Bruin insists he will consider joining another Premier League club.

When De Bruyne's Curt comment posted Guardiola on Friday night, he sympathized with the current team's longest player. “I'm sure it's not easy for him, but his contribution is important, it's important,” the Catalonian coach admitted. “He doesn't have to prove anything, I know his quality and his level. That's all.”

“He has always been an incredible player, but that's the case,” Guardiola continued. “It's almost impossible to replace such a player. Not only is it a performance, but it's what he means for our fans for years. Our success belongs to the players.”
