Bournemouth bids for Chelsea GK

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca at the club World Cup

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea reportedly won a formal transfer bid for its backup goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Serbian International has been fighting for game time at Stamford Bridge, but perhaps a good choice for many other Premier League clubs.

Now, Bournemouth appears to be stepping up its efforts to sign Petrovic, Romano reported that they have officially bid for the Blues.

See Romano’s post below: “Bournemouth has submitted an official bid to Chelsea. Negotiations between clubs are what players are keen on moving… Last week, Sunderland did nothing/closed because Bournemouth is now hoping to close the deal. ”

Chelsea currently ranks Robert Sanchez first, so Petrovic may be excellent off West London Club for more game time.

Chelsea’s goalkeeper choice next season

Chelsea lent Kepa Arrizabalaga to Bournemouth last season, so it makes sense that Cherries are pursuing goals.

Meanwhile, Kepa has been sold to Arsenal, so if Chelsea might also allow the new backup goalkeeper to get Petrovic to Bournemouth.

In fact, there will be a lot of CFC fans who want to see the club replace Sanchez because he is not really convincing that the club’s top pick for the position.

Still, Petrovic obviously didn’t play a role, whether it was Enzo Maresca’s first place or a substitute.

Bournemouth fans will hope Petrovic can do it well for them, as Kepa did when he joined Chelsea last season.

Aside from the transfer, the point of Chelsea will be the fact that they are now in the club’s World Cup final after defeating Fluminense yesterday, with Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain coming soon in the final.
