Katie Boulter

Boulter started the clay field swing while playing Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic in the first round of the Madrid Open on Tuesday.
The British still had limited experience on clay, ostensibly playing only four top main soothing matches.
After winning a BJK Cup singles game on indoor clay in the Netherlands last week, Boulter went to Alicante, where her fiancé, Alex de Minaur, has long lived.
She thought it was a wise choice – rather than squeeze in another WTA clay game before Madrid – she continued to get injured.
The issue left her alone in five games this season, missing out on nearly two months of WTA tour between the Australian Open in January and Indian Wells in March.
“I want to see the girl walking higher and higher [in the rankings]but personally, I have my own goals and try to focus on those goals.
“For me, I just have to try to stay healthy. That’s the most important thing, and then ranking will take care of myself.
“Obviously, I’ve been down since last year, but because I can’t play.
“It's not my level that has gone anywhere. I think my level is great, so now it's to keep my healthy game healthy.”
