Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool returned to the winner’s circle at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna on Sunday to claim their first title since early August.
The British star defeated Francisco Cabral and Lucas Midler 6-1, 7-6(6) in the final of the indoor hard-court ATP 500 event. Facing an Austrian crowd that enthusiastically supported Midler (who won the Vienna title with Alexander Eller in 2022 and 2024), Cash and Glasspool mustered up their courage and scored a victory in 70 minutes.

“We know it’s not going to be easy. In fact, I watched the Eller/Midler final here last year, so I know what the stadium is going to be like,” Cash said. “We had a lot of fun out there and it was really cool to play in that atmosphere and happy to cross the finish line.”
Cash and Glasspool had their impressive 22-match winning streak ended in the Cincinnati semifinals, but bounced back in Vienna to win their seventh title of the season. They are ranked No. 1 in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Team Rankings and have qualified for next month’s Nitto ATP Finals in Turin.
“We had a really hot season and then there were injuries here and there, so it’s nice to keep winning all year long and it shows why we’re the top team in the world,” Glasspool said.
Cash and Glasspool, highlighted by their Wimbledon victory, have a 55-14 record in 2025, according to the Infosys ATP Win-Loss Index. They next head to the Rolex Paris Masters, where Glasspool reached the final last year with Adam Pavlasek.
