The young edge sprint requires surgery due to Achilles tear. Jermaine Johnson has recovered week 1 preparations since the fall. He posted on social media and said he recently returned from Los Angeles to visit with the doctor. They cleared Johnson completely and practiced with the Jets.
Head coach Aaron Glenn said the team had plans for Johnson. They were excited for his return, but wanted to be cautious about the talented passes sought after. This may gradually increase when Johnson returns to 100%. The last thing New York wants is to take risks and reintegrate.
