Brooklyn-based Jay Jaffe is a senior writer and author of Fangraphs Cooperstown case creators of the Jaws (Jaffe War Score) metrics analyzed by Hall of Fame. He founded the Futile Infielder Website (2001), is a columnist for the Baseball Prospectus (2005-2012) and a contributor to Sports Illustrated (2012-2018). He has been a recurring guest of the MLB Network since 2011 and a member of the BBWAA and a Hall of Fame voter since 2021.
