It’s like this team is trying to figure out their new identity this season, but it just hasn’t been clicking consistently for any period of time. So what happens at this point?
Well, Brad Treliving started looking around to see what his options were. He’s looking for a top-six player who we’ve known for a while. This goes back to the offseason.
I think they’re starting to realize more deeply that they need a legitimate puck mover from the blue line. I’m sure he’s starting to think about that too.
But again, any major move the Maple Leafs make or attempt to make will result in someone leaving the team. That’s probably why we’re starting to hear names like Max Domi again, and even Brandon Carlo who I mentioned earlier this week. Besides (David) Kampf (now in Vancouver) and (Nick) Robertson, (Kaller) Jarncroker and everybody, you know, their usual suspects are there.

But it’s gotten to the point now where they have to be a little more creative in what they might do, and they’re starting to think about what options might be available. “
