In 2024-25, the Philadelphia 76ers achieved their worst record in 2015-16 with a record of 24-58. Additionally, the Sixers missed the playoffs for the first time in seven seasons.

Last year, several star players on the team missed a lot of time due to injuries. One of them is nine-time All-Star Paul George. Last season, he played 41 games for Philadelphia. George suffered from groin, finger and knee problems in 2024-25. The 35-year-old was injured during a workout during the 2025 offseason. George had to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery, and ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that he could “a fair amount of time.”

Paul George may miss the time to start the 2025-26 season

The 2025-26 season is Philadelphia’s last effort to keep its roster at the heart of its roster. Unfortunately, Paul George recently underwent arthroscopy in his knee. The start of his next season is serious danger. That wasn’t ideal for the Sixers, who expect George to have a rebound season. George averaged more than 20 points per game for the first time since 2014-15.

His overall output is far from his first year with the Sixers. Next year, it will miss the first game in Philadelphia for the second straight season. Recently, members of ESPN’s Hoop Collective Podcast are discussing George’s availability for the 2025-26 season. Tim Bontemps and Brian Windhorst don’t sound optimistic.

Windhorst noted that George could be “a fair amount of time”. The Eastern Conference will be held next season and will be injured. Philadelphia has a chance to play in the East. However, they need comprehensive player supplements. George will miss the time of the season, which is not yet clear.

Sixers fans hope George will recover and will only miss a limited time to start the season. In his best case, the former first-round pick is an elite two-way player. However, availability has been a major obstacle. George has played less than 60 games in five of the past six seasons. How many games will he have in 2025-26?
