Liverpool and Newcastle United played Premier League thriller on Monday night, with the Reds winning the junior debutant Rio Ngumoha with a 100-minute championship.

The 16-year-old dramatic strike ended in a messy night at St James’ Park, where Newcastle regained two goals from two goals before Ngumoha stole the headlines with a fairytale end.

When the road breaks out, one person who likes it is also former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.

As an expert in sky sports introduction game Monday night footballCarragher’s reaction spread after the broadcaster shared that he lost his footage. Running in the studio and even jumping into the air, the Red Legend barely contained his excitement.

“Oh my god! Oh my god! Wow! You’re lucky, lucky red man,” he shouted. “What’s going on?! Is this one of the greatest games in Premier League history?”

Carragher later replaced the clip as X himself, just added: “What a game.”

Still, Sky Sports experts didn’t let adrenaline overwhelm his judgment. Carragher admitted after reflection after the dust settled that Liverpool was lucky to score three points.

“I think what we’re seeing tonight is probably one of the worst performances in the winning team and one of the best performances in the losing team,” he said. “Liverpool don’t care now, they’ll be absolutely ecstatic, but Eddie Howe’s man is absolutely brilliant tonight.”

However, for Ngumoha, it’s a night that will live long in memory – if his debut is something to do, Liverpool fans may just witness the arrival of their next star.
