Darius Garland of the Knights will be eliminated 4-5 months after surgery on his big toe

They swept the Miami Heat in the first round but lost to the Indiana Pacers in the semifinals. The injury gives them a chance to play the playoffs. PG Darius Garland was injured and made the playoffs later in the season. He is not 100%, he is trying to play in pain. The team announced Monday that Garland had successfully undergone surgery on his big toe. Garand is expected to miss about 4-5 months.

Darius Garland was injured at the end of the 2024-25 season. He missed two of Cleveland’s last three games. In addition, Garland missed four games after re-aggravated his injury in the first round. In Game 3 of the second round, Garland returned to the Cavaliers, but the team was already 0-2 behind Indiana in the series. The 25-year-old is not 100%, and the Cavaliers lost to the Pacers in five games.
The Cavaliers’ News Report pointed out that Garland is expected to miss 4-5 months. This puts him on the lookout for the start of training camp in October. Unfortunately for Cleveland, Darius Garland missed the time in the playoffs. Many analysts believe that the Cavaliers will at least make it to the finals.
In 2024-25, Darius Garland opened a career-high 75 games for the Cavs. He averaged 20.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. With a career-high 7.1 3-pointer per game, Garland hit 0.401% from outside the arc. Cleveland remains at the heart of their roster and will return in the 2025-26 season. Darius Garland is a key piece in the Cavaliers’ roster and they need him to return to the East’s contender. Unless there is a setback, expect Garland to prepare for the start of next season.
