Iva Jovic: Who is the feeling of tennis for American teenagers?

At the age of 17, American rising star Iva Jovic has won the WTA title, the youngest player of the year.
The Guadalajara Open champion is from Torrance, California, USA, but her mother is from Croatia and her father is from Serbia.
She made her ITF Championship debut at the age of 14 in Los Angeles in 2022 W15 and reached the finals.
She also entered the third round at the 2022 U.S. Open Open before winning her first ITF title in 2023 at W25 Redding.
Jovic made his debut when he won the wildcard for the 2024 U.S. Open after beating Poland’s Magda Lineette.
She also received a wildcard entry into the 2025 Australian Open, winning the opening match against Spain’s Nuria Parrizas-Diaz.
The American teen won her first Wimbledon in 2025 but quit in the first round after losing to Dutch’s Suzan Lamens.
Her new WTA title has earned her ranking from the No. 73 world rankings. At the beginning of 2025, she ranked 206.
Her victory also means she is the youngest American to win a tour title since the 2021 Parma Open at Coco Gauff.
