Ireland is expected to shine at Adele Manor as the 2027 Ryder Cup host – Golf News

With Europe’s dramatic Ryder Cup victory at Bespage Black, the focus now shifts to Ireland, which will host the historic Centennial Ryder Cup in 2027 at the stunning Adele Manor in County Limerick.
European stars Sean Lowry and Rory McIlroy played a key role in New York, and Lowry contributed a decisive half to ensure that the European team retained the coveted trophy in front of a crowded audience.
Now, with the countdown to the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adele Manor, all eyes are turning to Ireland, where golf, the greatest team event, will celebrate its 100th anniversary.
Ireland’s Ryder Cup has a strong foundation, with Padraig Harrington, Paul McGinley and Darren Clarke all recent captains, and they have also created memorable moments such as McGinley’s 2002 push putt and Clarke’s performance at the 2006 K Club (Ireland last hosted the event).
Ireland is no stranger to hosting a world-class golf tournament, and recently hosted the 153rd Open Championship in Royal Portrush in July, winning global acclaim. As momentum grows, the DP World Tour Amgen Irish Open will be held in 2026 at Trump International Golf Course at Dunberg, the KPMG Women’s Irish Open at Kildare County Kildare and the famous Walker Cup at Lahinchi Golf Club.
With over 400 courses, and one-third of the world’s natural Links, including the top Ballybunion, Ballylliffin and Royal County Down, Ireland has become a premium golf tournament and leisure destination.
The 2027 Ryder Cup will be more than a golf tournament, it is also an opportunity to showcase Ireland’s rich championship heritage, vibrant culture, amazing scenery and hospitality. From the Wild Atlantic Road to the ancient eastern part of Ireland, the island has over 18 holes of golf courses – incredible food, lively city, unique experiences and of course the famous 19th hole where golfers can relax and immerse themselves in a warm atmosphere.
Siobhan McManamy, Director of Marketing and Partners at Tourism Ireland, said: “Ireland is extremely proud to come to Ireland for the 2027 Ryder Cup. The amazing environment of one of our most beautiful estate hotels, coupled with the enthusiasm of the fans, makes Adele Manor a truly great place to showcase our golf and Ireland.
“Adele in County Limerick is the gateway to the Wild Atlantic Road, a stunning 2,500-km coastal route from Marin Point to Kincel, providing visitors with amazing scenery and rich culture. There are direct flights to Dublin from many cities in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, as well as regional airports including Shannon, Cork and Irish Skynock Airports, and the road to Ireland and Wild Atlantic has never been easier. We look forward to welcoming golf fans from all over the world to Ireland Island.”
